LGBT Healthcare

Pride in Practice is a quality assurance and social prescribing programme that supports us in strengthening our relationships with lebian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) patients. We aim to meet the needs of our LGBT patients by supporting access to services and ensuring all of our tema have a good awareness of specific healthcare needs within the LGBT community.

We are working towards a Pride in Practice award for Excellence in LGBTQ+ Healthcare as part of our training to gain a better understanding of the barriers faced by LGBT communities in accessing services and why there is a higher prevalance of inequalities in health outcomes. Our aim is to continue to develop an inclusive approach to patient-centred care.
